# Discord

> DM your assistant or bring it into your server

Your assistant can live on Discord too — as a bot you can DM directly or
@mention in your server's channels.

## Setup

  <Step title="Add your Discord user ID">
    Under **Account → Contact Info**, add your Discord user ID (the numeric
    "snowflake"). To find it: enable **Developer Mode** in Discord's settings,
    then right-click your profile and choose **Copy User ID**.

  <Step title="Create the Discord contact">
    In your assistant's **Contact Details**, add Discord. Your assistant is
    assigned a bot identity that can message you.

  Discord contacts have a one-time setup cost and a monthly fee, paid in
  credits — shown in the Console before you confirm.

## What you can do

* **Direct messages** — DM the assistant's bot for a private conversation.
* **Server channels** — with the bot in your server, @mention it in a channel
  and it responds there.
* **Images** — your assistant can include images in its Discord messages.
